The Sevjur River is an important watercourse of the Ararat Plain, a fertile lowland region that plays a central role in Armenian agriculture. Unlike mountain rivers known for dramatic canyons and hiking trails, the Sevjur is primarily associated with fields, orchards, irrigation and local water management.
